- Rasengan
- Wind Style
Based on the philosophy of the Five Elements, Wind > Lightning. Naruto's training with leaves may provide a good alternative since one cannot easily find a constant source of Lightning to train against. This relationship (Wood = Lightning) may be seen in the following:
Five Elements in Chinese Philosophy
... > Metal > Wood > Earth > Water > Fire > ... (cycle) |
Five Elements in Naruto
... > Wind > Lightning > Earth > Water > Fire > ... (cycle) |
That Naruto also trained by cutting the flow of Water while Asuma Sarutobi demonstrated how his Wind chakra-enhanced blade was able to pass through a boulder (Earth) may similarly but indirectly hint at Wind Style's property against Wood. In the series, Wood Style exists as a kekkei genkai, formed from the simultaneous combination of Water and Earth Styles.
- Fūton: Rasenshuriken
On the other hand, Shinju is no ordinary tree and defeating it may need more effort than just Naruto.
